Gilberts Bar House Of Refuge

This building was built in 1876 as a place for stranded sailors to be rescued. There were 10 of these on the Atlantic Coast of Florida. This is the only one left. It is owned by Martin County Government and it is the oldest building in the county. It is currently used as a museum.
